Privacy
The short version. We collect what you give us through the forms on this site, we use it to do the thing you asked for, and we do not sell it to anyone. Ever.
Last updated: July 2026
What we collect
When you request a free read or contact us, we collect what you type into the form: your business name, website URL, industry, your answers to the questions, and your email address. If you book time with us, our scheduler collects your name, email, and the time you picked. The site also collects basic, non-identifying analytics (pages visited, general region) to understand how it is used.
What we do with it
We use your form answers and your public website to produce the read you asked for and email it to you. If you contact us, we use your details to reply. If you sign up for updates on the homepage, we will occasionally email you; every one of those emails has a working unsubscribe link, and we stop the moment you use it. We do not send marketing email you did not ask for, and we comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
How AI is involved
The free reads are produced with the help of AI. Your form answers and the public content of your website are processed through Anthropic's Claude, under an agreement where that data is not used to train AI models. A person stands behind every read that goes out.
Who handles the data
We use a small set of service providers to run this: HubSpot (contact records and meeting scheduling), MailerLite (email updates, only if you signed up for them), Postmark (delivering the read to your inbox), Anthropic (AI processing as described above), and our own automation and hosting infrastructure on DigitalOcean and Cloudflare. Some of these providers store data in the United States. Each one is bound to use your data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and the read we produced for you for as long as there is a reasonable prospect of working together, and delete them on request at any time.
Your rights
Under Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email chris@practicai.ca and it will be handled by a person, usually within one business day.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly start doing something this page says we do not do.
